I'm just finishing my rebuild and nearly finished printing all the parts.

I have just installed a thick 120mm rad at the bottom of my case so the PSU clearance has reduced.

Metal square indicates where a 150mm long PSU would sit. Total depth is ~175mm. I'm planning to use a modular PSU so I think I could get away with a 155mm deep PSU at a maximum. This is a bit of a pain as the standard depth is 160mm but I don't think that gives sufficient clearance with the modular connectors.

Do you guy and girls have any thoughts, insights, observations?

~25mm should be fine but tight. If you route them at 90 degrees right after the entry plug then you can get away with it.

That's a real pain, as it is a massive limit to what I can fit.

Is it possible to mount the 120 rad on the back of the case, with the fan on the inside?
That's how mine is set up, it makes plugging things in slightly more difficult, but as it's at the back, it doesn't really affect the looks.

    What about something like a ST85F-PT (it is 150(W) x 86 (H) x 140 (D). I have a PC-A51A case and the reduced depth helped.

Don't get a modular power supply.

It depends on the cables. Silverstone have 'flat' ribbon cables that can might a very tight turn right after the plug and lie flat against each other, but a tightly sleeved bundle would stick out a lot further.

To save space, you could just go for an SFX-L PSU. Available up to 700W at the moment, and there's an 800W unit coming in the next few weeks.

The problem with SFX PSU's is that they typically have short cables that wont stretch in a full size case without extensions. Replacement cable sets are possible but are a good percentage of a new power supply.

I currently have a corsair SFX in my other one of these cases and I need to use extensions (which are bulky).

This is what I am going for:

My build is finally complete and has been running for a few weeks. I couldn't find anywhere to post a build summary that's not a full hardcore mod log, so I will post a couple of pic's here. The build quality on the G3 is lovely.

The G3 fits in really nicely and as I didn't need all the additional cables (only a single 8 pin and a molex) it wasn't that much of a squeeze.

Despite all the effort that went into the 3d printed parts, my favourite part is the LED's. I had to mod the 3mm power light hole to fit the 5mm RGB LED output from the Aquaero. It now changes based on the water temperature.

Nice. Did you 3D print the whole of the front wall?

I like being able to quickly see that everything is ok.

Yeah, the case doesn't support radiators as the front fans have a ~20mm gap between them. So I had to trim out the separating piece and create a new mounting system robust enough to support a 60mm thick rad and push-pull fans.

It gives a nice mounting position for the aquaero too.
