Disaster How not to cut a 80mm fan hole

only scratches just sand them off and re spray

 

Look again, they are deep dents with scratches at the bottom

What did you do? drop a running jigsaw on the case?

 

I think he should cut out a big area ontop of the case then and replace with mesh/acrilic

 

let's hope that was a test piece.

 

what the bloody hell did you use to cut THAT with!? For good cuts in one go, I prefer to just drill a small pilot hole and let my good friend mr. nibbler do the rest

 

he should leave it like that imo, kind of a cool design

probly use a recipricating saw or something

Cut the whole bit out, install mesh from the inside with proper hole cut

 

Someone is quite persistant. What did you use to make that hole, a shotgun or something similar. Take a look here, someone has used a shotgun to mod a case http://www.2cooltek.com/case001_4.html

 

I think that it's harder to do that than doing a clean hole.

 

if you want to make some very clean and quick holes use eithe a bi-metal hole saw of, not sure what they call it, but it's a metal/wood hole cutter but i think it's more of a milling bit as all it has is a counterweighted steel rod with a very sharp edge, makes perfect holes, you just have to lubricate it with oil as your cutting it

 

And I thought my nibbled let-the-fan-grill-cover-the-nasty-edges hole was bad...
