    **** that!

This week I have been recovering from surgery to fix muchly dislocated shoulder, needed stitches in my thumb as I sharpened a kitchen knife then attacked myself while chopping an onion, also managed to kick the dog in the head last night but cutting wood (with a big axe) to make kindling for the fire went without a mishap :)

Id like to point out that I love my dog, I dont make a habit of kicking or otherwise mistreating it and this was in fact entirely and completely on purpose by accident

Tell me about it, my clumsiness and my dogs general disregard for personal space means I quite often step on their paw or walk into them by accident which results in yelps from both parties.

I'm pretty good at cutting myself on sharp blades (litterally 5 minutes ago on a pair of scissors...)

Apart from that not a lot really, apart from breaking my tooth (trust me to break the only thing that can't be repaired :( )

When I did judo I was forever spraining elbows, wrists, ankles, etc but since then I've been quite safe.

I am the most accident prone person any of my mates know! If I am not the first injured at a party it is an ill-omen...

I have broken both arms, the left one has 2 plates and 12 screws which they eventually added to my anatomy after trying and failing to re-sit the bones 4 times.

Broke a few fingers and dislocated 2 more in the snowboarding accident that broke my left arm.

    Cracked skull, knee-cap.

    Slipped disk.

    Dislocated shoulder.

Then there is the hundreds of scars I have all over me from rugby, playing with knives, modding, cooking... oh and I have cut off the tips of 2 fingers as well.

Broken the same arm in the same place 7 times and the other wrist twice.

Very lucky on one occasion, almost got run over by a car as I crossed at a red light on a busy road, apparently this man ran in and pushed me onto the pavement on the other side (I was 2/3 when this happened, I don't remember it happening but my mum told me).

Apart from that.... right as rain :D

When I was younger, I was VERY accident prone - meaning that by age 17 I had twisted both ankles twice, right wrist once, and broken right shoulder and collar bone (2 different accidents), left wrist, cracked 2 ribs (bottom left) right knee cap and had spine compression twice.

In the last 10 years however, I've had had nothing broken, or even vaguely damaged at all. Maybe my guardian Angel has a "Get it over and done with" policy. :D

Lots of little bumps and bruises which I am not counting.
In general, I get hurt very little, though. I cut myself every now and then (occasionally very deep as well), and have broken the same rib twice in the last 36 months: Once during a paintball-faceplant and then again during a go-kart-spin-into-thick sand.
When I was younger, i hurt my back every few months, but that's gotten better since I spent long hours at a biokineticist a few years ago...

Almost every day I'm on my bike I get hit/knocked by a car/bus/another bike. I think in the past four years I've had about 30-40 days where I haven't been injured for some reason (though granted a lot of the time it's my own fault)

Two breaks. One in my leg when I was 7, two people riding on a bicycle, I was on the bar (yes sore nads), put ,my foot on the tire and it went through the gap between the fork and the spokes. Another time I broke my wrist. Was at an ice skating rink, left the side for a minute, fell backwards and stuck my arm behind my back thinking I'd hurt my back but fracturing my wrist instead.

Other than that not much. I pulled my back out for a week, and still wasn't the same till after two weeks. I was laying some chains in the sea on which we were going to tie buoys. That's it for the serious stuff. Was in a car accident caused by myself (nobody else got hurt), but I walked away fine.

I used to be really clumsy, always covered in cuts and bruises etc but when you start working on stages with very heavy and expensive gear and barely enough space to move it you tend to pick up some precision quickly!

Now my accidents are all self inflicted really. I'm sat here now with some seriously painful elbows/arms and a chunky gash on my shin from climbing. It's fun though, so worth it!

I never hurt myself so far. At least i never broke anything, never got cut or burnt or anything. I'm sure i almost broke my tibia once. It was the worse pain i ever felt but i never got it checked and kept on walking on it. I had lost feeling around the area where i had hit it and it was a little squishy to the touch for years. I bet there was some damage.

Oh yeah my right hand's pinky's knuckle (if that makes any sense) is all screwed up ever since i violently punched a wall after losing a badminton match against a newb. Again i never got it checked

I hardly ever hurt myself. I've done a few things over the years though. Sliced through to the bone on 1 finger and I have several other scares from various cuts to my hands. I've also broken my left Humerus. I nearly broke my neck once too but I guess nearly doesn't count.

I do have an accident prone friend though. He seems rather partial to having accidents, whether it be on bikes, bicycles or in cars.

Yay!! now i remeber an occasion i was thinking "Wow these guys hurt themselves alot..."

One occasion i was at a party... (Rather drunk...) And i thought it would be a fantastic idea to attempt a backflip fireball

Now i had never actually attempted a backflip.... so already this plan was very bad turned out i got half way round and landed on my face

got up and wandered "Why are they shouting" to realize the fire i blew i ended up blowing on my legs and now my legs were both on fire lucky it was burning the alcohol but i could feel intense heat!! looked like i shaved my legs the next day on the front :p

No broken bones or sprains, no bad cuts. Just one slightly bad burn when I was very young. There was a thermometer sitting on the woodstove and I asked my dad what it was. He asked "What is what?" and I went to grab it to show it to him. Whole hand burned. Been afraid of getting burned ever since, often doubling up on oven mitts.

When I wsa 8/9 my thumbs somehow got stuck in the pulley of a zipline and fractured the joints. Needed a few operations and some physio-therapy for a year or two.

Was involved in a very bad drunk driving accident about 7 years ago. The drunk driver went through the windshield and died on the scene. Suffered severe head trauma which left me with amnesia (recovered) and some memorizing oddities eg I can remember a movie word for word after watching it once but I sometimes forget the names of my friends or I'll have a conversation with someone, turn around and not remember a word of it... I normally joke that if it wasn't for my quick reminders and notes on my cellphone I'd forget to breath :p

    Broke my nose once

Dislocated a spinal disk. Had to get surgery to fix it. Think that was by far the worst one...

    Broke my left collarbone.

    Cracked 4 ribs.

Broke my left femur and tibia once. Not at the same time though

Broke my right tibia and fibula whilst skateboarding.

Shatterd my left knee playing Rugby.

Broke my pelvis when I fell out of a tree.

Cracked my coccyx whilst ice skating

Tore a couple of ligaments and tendons

Numerous cuts and bruises etc etc

I'm just glad I've got a good medical aid! :hehe:

I tend to be pretty good with the major things... despite riding (horses) quite a bit, I never seem to injure myself which is nice. I think I'm relaxed enough to not mind falling off that it doesn't do me any damage. And I guess I'm quite lucky too, I've been kicked a few times and trodden on hundreds but never any issues.

On the other hand, I'm really good at doing lots of little things to myself. Cuts and grazes all over my hands, it tends to be me watching where I'm going with a flight case/staging, and forgetting that my hands are sticking out the sides to push! A pair of gloves has helped that a lot, and steel toe capped boots have saved my toes on a few occasions. I wouldn't be without them, though I know a lot of people that hate them.

I'm pretty accident prone when it comes to my job apparently. I've been stung in the eye by a yellow jacket, sliced the same eye open in a customer's house, pulled muscles in my back crawling through attic crawlspaces, pulled muscles in my should from a combination of doing baseball speed pitching and lifting my ladder, and burnt my hand in a grease fire while cooking for a bunch of co-workers while working out of state.

I think last night takes the cake though. I was working on a ladder against a utility pole about twenty feet up. I had climbed up just to see what equipment I needed to work on the job and was climbing back down when I slipped and fell. My cat-like reflexes must have kicked in though because I landed on my feet... on concrete.

Luckily I didn't break my legs but I have a follow-up appointment later this week to find out the damage to my right foot. Little sore all over but if the pain persists in other areas, I guess I gotta have those checked out as well.

Hospital staff was surprised I walked into the E.R. (well gimped) and kept asking if my back, neck or head hurt.

    I don't think that I'm that very accident prone but have had a couple of problems;

Many dislocated fingers when young playing cricket.
Knocked over by cars twice - worst one included stitches to hands, face, mouth and tissue damage to both knees. Cuts and bruises to most parts of my body.
Cracked skull when hit by half a brick.
    Dislocated shoulder when snowboarding.
    Numerous muscle pulls playing football.
Splinters from cutting plywood above my head in my right eye.
Bruise on the brain from car crash.
    Many cuts from DIY.

I have had to be a lot more careful recently after suffering multiple blood clots on my lungs due to the medication that I have to take. Now if I manage to cut myself I just don't stop bleeding.
