in the highlighted area it states: "Bottled under the authorisation of the Coca-Cola company by Tropical Bottling co. of Aruba, Aruba" For those who dont know where Aruba is: So how the hell did my bottle of coke travel 4,441 miles (approx) from Aruba to Dublin, Ireland? and more importantly WHY? Especially as theres a coke factory only a couple miles away (also a caburys, also a kellogs.... god theres alot of factories in dublin) BTW: I almost got sick when I drank it... I gagged and nearly threw-up. Not to mention that it was flat AND one day out of date (best before 29-04-2003)
but arent there export restrictions preventing such things? they do the same with software, you cant buy american Microsoft software in europe as it would take jobs from those making it in europe (which I might add is 90% Irish run ) Either way 4,441 miles is a long way to go for a bottle of coke!
Yes, there are. Which is why you can find cans of Coke with Arabic writing on in your local corner shop, but not down the supermarket
My old local crawfords bakery use to get south african coke. It actually tasted different to Uk coke maybe slightly less sugery which is good. Shame crawfords got closed down
The geezer who owns the post office near me sells coke that says "Trink , Coca-Cola" obviouseley german or somewhere abouts. Also he sells multipack cans of fanta at full 55p price
hi Well , here at the CARREFOUR , (huge supermarket (a chain)) they sell , 0.5L Coca-Cola Cans, that say "Trink Coca Cola" , (they are also from Germany) and they cost the same as a 33cl (0.33L) Coca-Cola Cans (belgian's) They taste about the same .. the tans metal is a little thinner tough.. Thats It I guess
When we have an indian takeaway if you spend over £25 they throw in a free bottle of coca cola, and the labels etc are always in arabic. but it tastes just fine so I don't care Next time i'll have a look see where it's made...
Did you find it by the seaside? Did it have a note in the can from a marooned sailor? That prolly explains the flatness and the out of dateness. On the other hand, as already mentioned you could have brought it from a dodgy 'corner' shop.
I had vinilla coke for the first time today, the immediate taste is pleasent but the after taste isn't, it's like when you put a lump of ice cream in a bowl of coke, I never liked that /me goes back to regular coke
Did you have it in a can or a bottle? I can drink the stuff from a can, but the plastic bottles make me gag. <shrug>
