Got my hands on a large sheet of alu. And well, i dont have a bending-tool for it (an not the money for it). Does any one have a idea how to bend alu? length of the thing i want to bend is at max about 35 cm.

Does anyone have an idea of how to make a ghetto bending table (or how u guys call it in english)?

BTW, sorry for my not so good english. I'm from holland.

Well i would recommend a slight heating of the alu and bend it in increments. That's if your bending a rod.
If your alu is a sheet it should bend with some force but not much. Though I have never had a reason to bend it. I know for fact that alu is used on houses all the time and they use what are called brakes they are able to bend it with little effort.

I know there are people that know more than me but i would say if you wanted to bend rods, tubes or even a sheet i would apply some heat that wouldnt melt the alu and bend it then slowly cool it down.

I've seen someone build an excellent bending brake with 2X4 posts and some door hinges. The tricky part would be to find lumber that isn't warped. (You could bend it in a doorframe too, but it messes up the finish.:D That only does 90 degree angles too.)
