Windows How To Burn A "ROM" File?????

hi guys

i got a firmware update for my medion divx dvd player but the problem is that the medion site is german and even tho ive translated it, it gives no instructions how to burn it....i use the latest nero ultra stuff and also have alcohol 120% installed also but i have no clue if it installs properly or burns correctly...

rite.....so sould i make a data disk as just the rom file by itself??? or.......

 

what are the file extensions..

the firmware for my Yamada 6600 usally comes in a ISO file..

 

the file is a .ROM file......im thinking of burning it as a data disk???
