I've just rejoined after a long break.
Though I would allow my 2500k @4.3 to help a little.
Going for cost efficiency so won't be on 24/7 but anything helps :)

    Hi chaps,

New to the forum (not to the magazine), so hi! :)

I've been on the modding/OC scene for quite a while, although recently not made any new projects. In fact at the minute I'm even running on air (not something I thought I'd be saying 18 months ago!).

I've added the following machines to the team, so I hope I can be of some use:

    Core 2 6300 stock @ 1.86GHz
    Pentium E5500 @2.8GHz
    Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 4.15GHz
    GTX 570 @ 803MHz/2002MHz
    Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3GHz
    Athlon64 3200 @ 2.01GHz
    PS3

I know it's not the best of kit, but at the moment it's all I can bring to the table.
I'm building a i7 Sandybridge system at the moment which I hope will boost things up a bit. Can't quite justify the Sandybridge E though! Well not yet anyway :)

    Best regards,
    Mark

Welcome aboard - that's some fresh hoard of kit you have there. You been out mugging grannies or something?

If you need any help setting up, don;t hesitate to come back! :)

Haha no the grannies were perfectly safe :p

Looking forward to getting it going. Aria has shipped the CPU, and ebuyer should have sent the rest today. Took a bit of faffing around though to get it ordered as my bank blocked my card!!!

Renewed Xbox membership @£39.99, then after buying the mobo/ram/hsf from ebuyer they blocked the transaction to Aria for the CPU. An hour of phone calls only to find out that any high value purchases in the three days after a £39.99 payment to Xbox Live auto-blocks the card with Barclays as it looks suspicious :wallbash:

A telephone call from them first would have been nice! Oh well

Might either pop a second GTX 570 in or possibly wait for keppler. Unsure at the moment.

Welcome to the team - but I think it may be better to start a new thread for this build.

Hi there I've been reading bit-tech for a while and have finally taken the plunge and made an account here.
I also just started folding on my pc, mainly with the gtx570 and occasionally with the CPU. I've joined the team however I won't be running 24/7 but I'll contribute what I can.

Just thought i'd say hello here too :)
Generally speaking i'll have about 1 to 3 Core i3 boxes going, plus occasionally the odd PS3 session- but currently burn-in testing an IBM HS22 Blade :)
Am contemplating/working towards grabbing a decent graphics card so i can move to full time GPU folding, but that's on a back burner whilst working out some new disks for a network based array :)

    FingAZ.

Hello, I've decided to get Folding@home running on my PC.

Intel Core i5 (3.30GHz) and ATI Radeon HD 5850 (Stock). Overclocking is planned of course...

Look forward to helping push to the number 1 position.

Hi Guys, I used to fold for the Nvidia forums team, but you guys seem to have a lot more activity and have much more of a community based around folding, so as I have started folding again, I switched teams to yours. Currently only got my 4.5ghz 3930k running two uniprocessor core's, but int he pipeline is my old i7 920 at 3.6ghz, and gtx 460 which I plan on getting in a server room somewhere and folding 24/7.

    Welcome to the team :thumb:
Can I ask why your 3930k is only running a couple of uniprocessor WU's - it's a great processor for running SMP?

well, I don't want to max it out as I game on it and it would heat my room up and I am renting a room and so dont want to use all of the electricity. I guess I could run SMP and limit CPU usage or something, would that get more WU's done? Also is there a booby prize for the worst PPD? I get 57 PPD out of a 1.33ghz atom CPU I have running as a print server at my parents house...
