Title says it all: How can I record my xbox 360? Do I need to get a separate video card for my computer? External recorder? Etc... Thanks
Do you have a dvd recorder or HDD/DVD recorder in your lounge cos u could record to DVD and then transfer it to your pc. We have done that by accident when my lads was playing the Wii, wouldn't be HD res so depends what you want.
search dazzle in google. its only standard def to the best of my knowledge there isnt a simple way to record in HD though. with the dazzle i think you use rca and get a Y plug for all three cables, one set to tv one to the dazzle box. i think maplin do them aswell im not sure if you could just connect the rca plug it into the dazzle and run the HDMI to the telly, i think it only runs video to one at a time but i havent checked. the dvd recorder with HDD would prob be the easiest as Mr Bag says
I Know quite a bit about Capture Cards. You can go for the cheaper standard definition capture cards which are mainly the Dazzle DVD Recorder and the Easy Cap which are around £0 - £50. MY freinds got a Dazzle and posts on Youtube and quality is alright I suppose. Or if you really need high quality videos and you've got lots of cash go for either: HD PVR - A Separate box which records in HD - £170 off Amazon. Black Magic Intensity Pro - A internal PCI-E Expansion card which is probably the best card within a reasonable price range. Machinima on Youtube use this one quite a lot. - £160 off Amazon.
More and more games are having in-game capture solutions for example Halo 3 with Bungie Pro or previously GameVee could grab videos off your file share and upload them to the web, I used it to make a machinima and you could too I imagine, Just Cause 2 for PS3 has this, it's a shame that the 360 doesn't yet. I hope that in the next generation of consoles they all have video recording and screenshot taking built in and stored on the cloud.
