Running them? playing at them? showing off mods?

really, from what I've seen anyways, you will only make money if you are sponsored (as a player or organizer) by a company willing to foot a decent ammount of the cost of travel, running the event, etc. I would personally suggest getting at least some college education, winning tournaments to get the eye of a sponsor is going to take time if you aren't ranked/well known in that game already. As an organizer, some business experience and startup capital would help you get off the ground, but you probably could do it on your own given some time and luck.

Yeah, leachlan is meant to be quite good. I've attended epic.LAN which is brilliantly organised, and I'd like to attend an i-series some day.

I believe there are a few LAN party organisers on these very forums!

Indeed there are, and some of us like lurking ;)

It'd be nice to see some of you guys along at a LeachLAN sometime!

Unfortunately we're only small, so our marketing doesn't stretch as far as it could. None the less, we do like to put on a good event where everyone can chill out and have a good time!

Feel free to drop me any questions. As I'm one of the Event Managers for LeachLAN! (hopefully this was obvious :p)

Apologies for the late reply. I've been out of the country on Business and have just got back.

We've been having some routing issues with our site host lately, though these should now be resolved. If they persist, could you please let me know? As we'll get it looked into further.

    Cheers!
