Ouch dude, my sympathies to you. Point of advice, take a nice vacation and lay on the beach for the last few months of this year. Just make sure nothing crawls up your shorts..... On second thought maybe you should lock yoursel finto a solid concrete bomb shelter
it gets worse he couldnt fix it so he's sent it away for further testing! wooont have it back till at least friday! i hate my life iam going to go work in waitrose and become a shelf stacker!
Ouch Hope it works finally when you get it back, if not beat him senseless with it to prove that it is defective
sounds like me on a good day... (I just had the sudden, irresistable urge to say MOO! no reason really, just got the urge to say it, so there I have MOO!)
Wow, you sound like you've been having a load of bad luck. Good luck with the future.... hope it's gonna be better
man, ure cursed. i have to agree with Kargin, lock ur self up in a bomb shelter or elsewere (if u can find anything safer than that) in the mean time just try tu cheer up and enjoy the 3 seconds (or less) of hapyness u might be getting a day
that is one bad story. but i also have another one selling my computer an XP2200+ with Epox Raid m'board. blah blah blah. got a good price for it, thinking happy days, i get to get all new parts and a quiet computer to boot for the same price. can't wait, order all the stuff, waiting for it to arrive. so because i am moving my stuff up to college, i disconnect my monster coolermaster heatpipe cpu cooler, accidentally tap a key on the motherboard, computer starts up, processor goes f**k ya, i am gonna blow myself up, i start crying. thinking that its gonna cost me £130 to replace and have to do this before saturday cause thats when i am selling it. but the new cpu, plug it in, arctic silver 3 on the go, heatsink on + fan plugged in. turn my PC on, motherboard then says f**k ya, i dont wanna work. To cut a long story short, somehow by taking the CPU fan and heatsink off I managed to blow 512Mb PC2100 Crucial RAM, 2200XP+ CPU, a Raid Motherboard and get this my DVD drive too!, so i am like what did i do to deserve this. so all my drinking money for college is now gone. my only consolation, is that i have a quiet PC, total cost £1500, nice huh
I dont believe that bad luck You might be able to get money from insurance? Worked for me when my mobo borked. ~Sepherus
oh dear sorry to hear about your experience. have two mobos sat there on the floor did have four cases three power supplys and three cpus. at the moment i have 1 working mobo one working psu and one working cpu. am not going to try anything moddish till i got two working computers. it kinda makes me a bit upset when the reason for all this chaos is a tempriture monitor that slipped and shorted out a 1300 duron. grr i think its allmost like empathy when i say i hope this sort of thing dont happen to you again soon. ps i have a job atm but i dont know if its going to last
guess what it was guess what it was somthing so simple it appears that my heatsink had a crack in it so the heat wassnt going anywhere so when it got hot it shut down! £14.99 mutha F*&^%R not count less hundreds!!¬!!!! F*&*
oh, man that sucks! Im laughing me arse off reading this but I know how horrible it is to kill parts - i've blown my few, too.
Umm, Do you have wool carpets, and drag your feet? "Hey, I got my new processor!" 'drag' 'drag' 'drag' ...'reaching out'...ZAAAAPP!!!!
heh - I do all my computer work with my parts spread out on my carpet. Fuzzy and comfy to work on and never killed anything that way.
Zap, I've done something close. I was doing a mobo/proc swap on the family computer. It came time for me to get the proc out (P4 2.4ghz Nwood B) and I got to the blister packaging, ripped that mofo open and I wonder where the hell the proc went. Well, it flew out of the packaging and landed on the floor. *guh* It looked ok, so i install everything else...*beep*beep*beep*beep*. Hmm, reseat everything *beep*beep*beep*beep*. Ok, maybe the mobo's getting grounded by the case, *beep*beep*beep*beep*. Finally, I go, "Listen *******, I'm gonna rip every piece of you apart to find out what's wrong!". Turns out, the proc landed pins down and a few got bent. After a bit of reallllllly careful surgery with some needle nose pliers, it's all cool.
Life sucks sometimes, sorry to hear what you went through. I hate rip-off computer stores, I would of got intouch with trading standards and complained.
