News HP recalls 70,000 laptop batteries

HP has issued a voluntary battery recall for 70,000 lithium-ion batteries that it claims are a potential fire hazard following two separate incidents.

Well I am trying to find out if my parent's laptops' batteries are in the recall but the validation won't work, I keep getting an error. So I could set on fire any minute now.

Wow, I'm utterly surprised....that my batteries are not included in this recall.

I was hoping I could get two new batteries.

 

In other news, displays are recalled due to radiation emitted that makes men using the computers as real "laptops" sterile.....

 

They should give those away for free, solving the overpopulation problem one laptop at a time

 

same goes for cell phones but the way our population is getting out of hand maybe its a good thing lol.

 

are these Sony's batteries though?

 

probably they seem to be the only company that gets recalls most of the time from other computer companies lol

I am sick of battery recalls. I just use this rule of thumb: If you have a laptop expect it to catch on fire. This has been a message from your friendly laptop/netbook hater. Thank You

 

Sod that I'm more worried about my Blade enclosures catching fire until I get the PSU's replaced.
