    This is long overdue. The install base for VR HMDs is just too tiny to sustain all but single-person smash-hits from game sales alone. Either somebody else is paying for development for their own gain (e.g. Oculus providing grants in exchange for the game being sold through Oculus Home), or you're making a game in full knowledge that you will never recover your costs. Some studios may be able to afford this, many will not. The previous 'Vive Accelerator' had a requirement for relocation to specific areas (Beijing, Taipei, and San Francisco) that made it untenable for most, so a proper publishing program is a much better solution. Lets hope HTC (or at least the Vive subsidiary) have the cash reserves to sustain it until their HMD install base grows enough to stem their annual losses.
