I have decided to upgrade the media computer in the lounge to Windows 7

Having run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor, and it saying the graphics won't run 'Aero'
From others on this forum, I have concluded it should work:
    http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=177349

    I'll post the specs again:

    1.8ghz dual core Intel
    3gb ram
7600gt graphics 256mb memory (with hdmi to 32in Toshiba LCD TV)
2 black gold dvb tuners (to replace, and move to my desktop)
iirc the motherboard is an ASUS P5B

What I need to do is replace the 2 x BlackGold Freeview (DVB) tuner cards.

my first port of call for any computer purchases is Micro Direct (They have great pricing and are local to me)

I have looked through their site, and the card that seems the best from what they sell is this:
    http://www.microdirect.co.uk/Home/Product/17442/Compro-VideoMate-E700-Dual-DVB-T-PCI-Express-TV

I will also get an OEM copy of Windows 7 Home Premium
and upgrade the RAM to 4GB

    Should I go 32bit or 64bit ?

    all advice appreciated :)

if the cpu supports it, just move to 64-bit as a basic rule now dont question just do.

Are you looking at upgrading the lot, or piece by piece?
