Ok, so heres the strory. I have one of my first computers laying aorund. No pictures yet. Its and extremely heavy. Its a Intel Socket 5 computer with a Zues Pantera case. Its either made of aluminum or steel, not sure. So far ive been just ripping wires and whatnot out of it. The thing is, its not USB or PS/2 compatible. The backof the case is just a few parrelel ports and serial ports along with my PCI cards. I want to make this bad boy a USB PS/2 compatible monster. If there is a motherboard tray, which I dont know if there is,,, should I take the entire assembly out and put in a new one?? Any ideas??
Ive thought about something like this for my old p1 166(was ps2 compatible thanks to an extra card like all the parralels and stuf was on back then) it will probably not fit an ATX motherboard without remaking the tray if there is one, and the back will need some heavy remodelling for sure the power supply will defenatly need do be replaced since AT is not widely used on new mobo's it is doable but if you want an easy made pc go to your local pc store and get the cheapest ATX case they have so i just went for the cheapest case there was at that moment
i dont want a "easy made pc" and never did. I usually slave over my computers. This is really a Input=1 Output=2 challenge. Input: Metal work, fabrication, work, work, and work. Output: A nice new computer Output: The bragging rights I don't like the easy way out. Who knows, might not start the project. What i think I will do, if I do it is : Cut that bag site off, everything but the PCI area. Then i will measure that area and cut my metal to that area. I will measure the motherboard area and cut that in. Then I will weld that in. Sure it may be sketchy, because apparently my welding stinks. So I will just give it a big bubble of weld and smooth over it. What do you all think?
I took out the PSU today, and the motherboard, it looks like the whole case can be unscrewed into kit-like pieces. Maybe I can find a peice that will actually fit the back that I can screw on, if I can, Im in luck, that looks like the only big thing I really have to mod.
I have myself a cheap Creative NX Pro webcamera, but I lost the drivers. Anyone willing to donate a camera to me for a week or two?

I would be delighted to use the drivers. I've tried it over and over already. It doesnt work..... Ill have to instigate. Calling Creative now,
Converting AT to ATX There is a nice bit of work involved in converting an AT case to an ATX, but it IS possible. Check this link: http://www.moddingzone.com/articles/at-to-atx/
My own AT conversion I coverted an old At case over Christmas. It used to be an NEC Scenic Pentium 100. I found it quite easy to convert. I ripped a atx backplate out of a scrap case, cut the backplate of the AT case to size and riveted it in to place. I then trimmed the motherboard mounting plate inside the case and made a new mounting plate out of acrylic. Here's some before and after shots. I also painted it black. Damn thing dwarfs my 17 inch monitor!
