What are people's thoughts on Humble Monthly?

Not sure what to make of it, especially as they don't seem to be giving an indication as to the first bundle contents...

Only 5% to charity makes me angry.

will depends on the number of Linux title. And as stated, 5% to charity is not a lot.

Without knowing what the first bundle will be (to give a fair idea of what i might expect going forward month by month) i see no point to this.

Will be giving it a miss until more information is given/available I think.

I used to participate in Humble Bundle often. Then tools like Steamleft came and I realized that 90% of my 400+ unplayed games came from the bundles. I always would donate the minimum possible to get the games I wanted, then give the lion's share of the money to the developers.

Some time after weekly bundles started I realized that Humble Bundle was managing to extract $5-12 from my account every month. I quit netflix over this amount, so why was I letting it happen with games?

So I stopped buying the bundles because I haven't gotten through my backlog in any meaningful way and the quality of the games has been in the toilet lately. Also, as time went on I noticed that most bundles were 4 games I had gotten from other bundles +1 game I might be mildly interested in.

I'm tempted by Gang Beasts, but I'm not sure if I'll bite yet.

So yeah, this is a definite no for me. Less money to the devs (who I care most about), more money to Humble (who I've been disillusioned by), and a high suspicion that the quality of games will get even worse when I have no chance to even know what they are first.

Humble Bundles can be quite good at times, other times not so much, but I have managed to get a few real bargins.
I can't really see myself signing up for a regular subscription though, I'll stick to cherry picking between HB, GoG, Bundle Stars, Green Man and gawd knows how many other bundle sites I've signed up to.

I just realised that since I started checking the bundle/discount sights I've added nearly 100 games to my Steam library that I haven't played yet with probably about half that amount in my GoG folder. Time to get gaming methinks.

If you scroll down you see...

which is a £17.99 game from them or direct from Steam... so if you actually want that game, the $12 sub would be worth it for at least one month.

Stopped doing humble my steam account is over blown with games I've never played. Probably 90% from bundle buys.
