He's going to have a just swell time in prison I can tell...

And what exactly does two life sentences mean? One for this life and the other for the next?

LIFE should mean LIFE. Let him rot in prison. I'm amazed at how long he managed to get away with it.

Life is 25 years, so he's in for 50. He's already 29 so that takes him right up to the ripe old age of 79.

That is, if he even lives to see his 30th.

As I said, life should mean life... a life is not 25 years, people live to be 100! Sometimes it does work out that way though, Myra Hindley died where she belonged. Behind bars.

If you're going to be up for parole in a decade or so, why get given a "life" sentence, IMO with a life sentence there should not be any parole or any chance of getting out of jail unless the conviction is overturned through appeal.

I havent read the full article, but from what I have watched on the news Ian Huntley has been investigated for 9 previous sex attacks on young girls 4 of them were underage, 1 was a rape of an 11year old girl.

This is unbelievable that no link was made by the police or social services. It's amazing that someone has to commit murder before being sentanced for 2 counts of life, especially with his past.

Sometimes I think the death penalty should be brought back to the UK, although it would be too quick for someone like Ian Huntley. :sigh:

Daft as it sounds, and maybe a little OT but why is it called life if its only 25 years?

What happens if he behaves in nick will he get out in 25 years on good behaviour?
