My score...kinda poor tbh! CPU Intel C2Q Q6600 @ 3000Mhz GPU Gigabyte 9800GTX @742.50/1210 RAM Crucial Ballistix Tracer 5-5-5-15 2:3 500MHz Temps CPU=46 full load and CPU= 74*C full load Final Score on 3Dmark06 - 13983 am sure i should get more out of my card anyone can help on that???
I have been pushing my cards to 840/1200 on air cooling without artifacts, also try to get your cpu to higher than 3 ghz if possible.
No exact score to hand but my Q9450 @3400, 8800GTS 320 @650/1640/1900 ad RAM around the 1Ghz mark got me 12500ish, which I am well chuffed at got the CPU up to 3.6 so tomorrow roll on benchmarking!
2GB RAM 256MB GeForce 8400 GS (cheapie, I know) Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3.0GHz 3DMark2006 score: 1552 I know my card is a cheapie, but seriously? less than 2,000? It also shows up as "generic VGA" in 3DMark, so I'm wondering if any hardware accelleration is going on at all.

I don't normally run at 3.6Ghz but wanted to give it everything for this benchmark. I also overclocked the 8800GT beyond what I'd done before (though it's only as fast and some of EVGA's retail cards) and it complied happily. The best bit is I did all this without my Antec Nine Hundred actually taking off - all the fans were on low. The CPU hits 72C at full load, not sure what it hit during this test. Looks like the GPU got to 75, though it had to spoil the party with the fan at 70%.

Nice, elpedro. I wonder what gave you the extra ~400 points over me? Memory bandwidth (mine is only 400Mhz?). Probably the higher clocks on the 8800GT. Is it the stock-cooler on the Goldensample cards?
Arrrrrrgh! 15601 3dmarks. I upped the 8800GT to 740/1860/1000, and the ram to 1000Mhz with 5-5-5-15 (at 2.2v). http://service.futuremark.com/home.action;jsessionid=0F7B952D9983CE7A4080F2BBC93792F3 But, it took a little more than that... At Idle, core temps are 25/27/19/19C. GPU is idling at 44C, and didn't hit over 65 under load. God knows what I could get the CPU to on this... It must be 10 degrees C outside. Watercooling? Pah! Real overclockers move to Scotland. (or colder) ... and now to go to bed. I'll leave the computer off overnight to avoid any condensation, though it's not very humid here.
That's immense if you gained 800 points by increasing your clock speeds that amount - although you didn't post a compare URL I may have to push the CPU a little higher as you get an immense CPU score gain at only a few hundred MHz higher. No, the Goldensample cards have a custom dual slot cooler (larger fan with heat pipes) Keeps the card a nice 40C idle and 60C under load at those clock speeds. Love the extreme air cooling xD
pistol_pete - 15956 marks - Q6600 @ 3.825Ghz (9*425) / 8800GT 512MB BFG OC @ 750/1870/2020Mhz / 2Gb Crucial Ballistix DDR2-6400 @ 1050mhz 5-5-5-15 http://service.futuremark.com/home.action;jsessionid=E7D5E6D30FF43D4EB1E4E837C563BFB6 (don't know if that will work) Edit - nope. Screenshot Updated my hwbot score. I tried to get the Q6600 to 4.06Ghz. It got to windows but crashed after a few minutes of Orthos, and I didn't want to go higher than the 1.6V (in bios) I was using. Temps got up to ~60C at load. So I dropped down to 3.825Ghz, and added a few more Mhz to the speeds on the 8800GT. Again, I was using "window" cooling, except this time it was windy outside. The breeze blowing into the side of the case must have been gusting up to about 18kts at some points (that's ~20mph for you land-lubbers). It's maybe 12C outside. This also cleaned my dust filters in the process, as the air was being blown back out of the case through the intake fans! Anyway, most of the points seems to be from the CPU score - 3.6Ghz - 5605 3.825Ghz - 5939 Does 3Dmark06 use physics acceleration? - I'm running the new CUDA drivers with physX enabled, don't know if that add's to the scores.
Ye, 3DMark 2006 is very CPU dependant score wise. I'm not gonna' bother overclocking cos' I can't get a 24/7 stable overclock over ~3.52Ghz and increasing my GPU clocks also shows after playing GRID or Crysis after around 30mins or so.
Ok, final result - I promise! [hwbot]pistol_pete - 16067 marks - Q6600 @ 3.9Ghz (9*434) / 8800GT 512MB BFG OC @ 750/1870/2000Mhz / 2Gb Crucial Ballistix DDR2-6400 @ 868mhz 4-4-4-12[/hwbot] I've created a profile with Futuremark so you can have a look now: http://service.futuremark.com/resultAnalyzer.action?resultId=8081149&resultType=14 Again, with window cooling. I got the core stable (enough) at 3.9Ghz, though had to drop 20Mhz off the GPU memory because it failed a couple of times mid-test. I'm glad I broke the 16000 mark, it's pretty good for just one 8800GT. Incidentally, the score will everything at it's stock settings is just 12139.
Your score increase is 99% due to your CPU - performance wise compared to my result (over 1000 points behind) equates to ~2-3FPS increase which could actually be less if you were running your core clock same speed as mine. Anyway, not to take anything away from you, but 3D Mark 06 is pretty unreliable now, it doesn't work well with dual GPU setups and obviously scores depend alot more on the CPU cores. For example I have seen scores under 15k with 8800 Ultras and 3870x2s - if you read their GPU scores it absolutely pwns our 8800GT scores but they will have a dual core CPU (which if clocked higher could perform better in games optimized for 2 cores) that brings their score "down". To sum up, its all synthetic lol - that's why Vantage was released

14000 marks or so with my Phenom @3.0 and 4870. Will overclock my RAM, only on 2GB OCZ Reaper CAS-5 PC6400 atm. Really would be great if I could break 3.2Ghz.
