Thanks Guys Honestly? because i can and i rather do it now than in a few months time. Cheers Dot tyvm mate Hopefully i can keep you interested Today i got some spare time so got a little bit more done. As Nostro Cheaps predicted some more louvers incoming The Vent Section is made so it will wrap around the edge of the case again trying to take away some of that chunkiness and stay hyper at the same time Its a slow old process each one measured and cut and sanded into shape by hand and glued into place. Still a long ways to go and hopefully i can get both sides finished and painted by tomorrow..... This took a couple of goes to get right...
Wow, dude, it seems you 're more interested in the process itself than the result. Or have you decided to make some replaceable front panels for this case? Anyway, it 's candy for my eyes.
Cheers CP ty mate You got it it is about the process more then the end result but it will be nice to have front and side panels i can swap around and play with. This case for me is a keeper, this is the tower i want beside me so i figure i'll do all the modding now and then i can just use it for the next year or so till i upgrade hardware again
I am particularly impressed by this decision: But no doubt you 're the best critic of your own creativity.
Cheers CP mee too ! i love that front, I put a lotta hours into it, and cant wait to see it on the final product ! Still a lotta sanding to go... thew blades are not perfect yet. Cheers dj hope to see a mod from you soon too Cheers Cheaps OOoooOO now theres a timeless classic ! i was actually looking at some "Slammed" pics of one of those the other day..... only in Japan! Ginpei Yamaguchi Slowly getting there! A bit more work on the front vents. I was hoping to have these putty ,sanded trimmed and under paint... but time got away. Getting these perfect ended up being really time consuming.... working with 3 different angles is a mind bender on a good day for me . There's still soooo much to do on this front...... but it's getting there. What the pics don't show is the shape , I'm hoping once the paint is on the contrast will show.
Thanks dj much appreciated Finally got these vents and new front prepped primered and high filled. Really is quiet beastly when sitting next to the first front. As you can see i'm still putting in some work to the the other one as well. Also worked on the clip locks that will hold it in place.. Borrowed this idea from the old car door trims. The bottom will be the same clip on swing system used on the first front. Still want to add a few bits to the front, a logo/badge of some sort and a lower spoiler....... but pretty happy with this look.... bit early for final type shots but couldn't help myself Airflow shouldn't be a problem
It's too fine for the classic Rustoleum spit. I suspect he's either shooting colors both in close proximity, or dusting the blue on purpose. I think your subscription for your premium user name just ran out. Dayum purdy case.
Thanks JH It's kinda old skool modding prep and painting . I still have all my spray painting equip from the old modding days but chose to go cans for this build to keep the cost and prep time down. What you don't see it the constant sanding and prep work.... it's stuff i leave out as i figure it boring dirty work that most don't wanna see in threads anymore. The raw sanded (frosted plex) is sanded down to 800 grit wet and dry.... then cleaned with wax and grease remover. Next is hit it with some Plastic Primer.... Paint really dosn't like to stay stuck to plastics/acrylics more so if it flexes! I'll usually let this dry over night. Then some standard primer to cover the the parts that arn't too worked on... no mods or glue just smooth clean sanded panels. If there's glue work or a bit of bondo etc then primer filler. Then Spray putty (light blue) this is a high fill builder and will help with the deeper stuff.... For everything else there's Blade/spot putty... These panels will be left to sit for as long as poss... Paint will settle and "sink back" over time so the longer you can leave it the better The "Black spots" are indeed a guide coat that gets wet sanded with a flat block to get the surface mirror flat. Once done then another prep clean and some silver can go down over everything... again left to dry and then the final colour gunmetal grey and another wet rub. The last can in the row is a really expensive 2K clear coat..... this will go down over the gunmetal grey left to sit for a week and then a final wet rub buff and wax........... It's a long process but the difference between just spraying some matt black or a colour over raw plex or metal is night and day. Thanks again Cheaps Yer that was killing me that name.... was time for a change TY mate
I imagine your passwords were rock solid. Even compromised the hacker in Mumbai would like, "where's the .·´¯`¤ - key?"
Cheers MPC tyvm mate i can always dream Thanks Toru Cheers mate LOL the exact same problem i kept having trying to log in from work The password was even worse!!!!!!!! I'll continue to keep modding Cheers MBM tyvm The doing is easy now it's coming up with new ideas that getting harder! I got some updates but nothing worth posting.... maybe some thing tomorrow
