Scratch Build – Complete Hyper Case DM-01

I have been modding! just not updating soz


The back of the case has been like the front.... a bit for me to get my head around... but after a few different tries i think im happy with this.

The hardest part was keeping the rounded corners all the way through the section. This is still early days and a fair bit to go. Still need to add the GPU hole.



And some random stuff that will end up in the bin

Still has a lot of work to do to it... i want to add a lot more detail... lower diffuser and some detail around the blow hole with maybe some overlay.

Ive made the GPU wider to accommodate the side adjusting GPU bracket.



It's a large panel but light enuf to not add too much extra weight.

 

There.. Fixed it. Don't get me started on fat USB sticks or power supply bricks without a lead.

Small update today that actually took a bit of work!

all very nice but will it be robust enough? what kind of glue did you use?

 

Would be surprised if not cyanoacrylate.

Weldon3 for anything that's flush, Weldon16 for everything else . Pretty the same stuff ive been using since my first plex case mods almost 20 years ago

When you find a good glue you stick to it !!!!!!

It's surprisingly rigid.. Very little side to side flex... and once the 4.5mm side panels are added it will be as good as any chassis case.

Small update again soz guys, Well.... alot of work for small results

Almost done with this panel.. Fill a few ruff spots with spot putty a rub and final primer.

First off was to get some primer down.







Not sure what to call these things, but hopefully they look cool! i'll show the inspiration for adding these soon.






A lot more sanding some more primer and a few coats of spray putty.

Is the little things... That's what makes this whole thing pop I always love your attention to detail especially given the construction method used

 

fact is, you really went the extra mile on this case , really stunning to see the way you form shapes out of acrylic

It's getting wilder all the time. The last case pic looks like the post office smashed your case...in a good way.
