Many shiny becoming one big shiny! Update more frequently, please. Don't just show up with the finished item next week.
As tempting as it is to do a quickee finish and get it inside i hear ya Cheaps I know i said i wouldn't RGB ......... The top mesh really serves no purpose in this setup other than to look good. So using them as the main light feature seems a good idea I first tested some lighting under the mesh grills and the results were less than stella. So i used the MDF moulds to knock up some diffusers to help even the light. I think i'll try to get some colour to glow through the front grills as well
Nice, I approve of the RBG it looks awesome. Have you got two different colours shining through there? Looks like a glowing 2 tone paint.
Your grills contoured shapes are so much nicer to look at since your eye can really focus on them with the added diffusers. Great idea and of course excellent craftsmanship as always!
Cheers riekmaharg2 tyvm mate The different colour was a couple of faulty LED's on the test strip ! these were just cheap 5 dollar ebay strips... in the next post i'll swap them over for proper Corsair addressable RGB strips Cheers pccustom tyvm I kept looking back at your RGB and decided to take the dive as always mate you inspire me Cheers MBM tyvm mate Im always looking to put a new spin on RGB. Cheers 4LIEN tyvm mate and thank you for the inspiration Cheers kim tyvm mate as always thanks for the support
Again appols for the slowness of updates.. Just trying to get the RGB lighting perfect and this is prolly the 4th or 5th attempt now. The addition of the Corsair Addressable RGB strips makes a huge difference for output and colour. A small plex strip is added for some under glow and tapped into the the light source. The pics dont really show how well the effects work but the vids are fun! turn ya volumes down again.... appols for the background music. Cheers
Yer i'll deff tone it down abit to just a single colour for my setup.... that's NOT the look i wanted for this case.. but it's there so may as well show whats it's capable of. That's one of my all time fave live concerts ! Comic Con's live performance to one of my all time fav games Command and Conquer featuring Frank Klepacki and the Tiberian Sons It's the sound track for this build
Still a long way to go.... but making progress. A test fit of all the hardware so i can get all the cable work sorted. I'm still deciding what direction i want to go with.. The only wires that will be seen on this side are the GPU ones and tbh i'd prefer not to see them at all...... I gotta say That's one damm sexy air cooler! I wanted to run the fans a bit different from stock and it was good to see the cooling @ idle wasn't changed with this configuration. And im liking more and more the idea of NOT using the back panel...... Sticking closer to the original concepts. But it's nice to have the option of both. As part of a much larger "Mod" in progress !
Such a tiny video card. I guess there's room to expand in this beautiful case. You gotta put the back on, even if it's just for pics. -and... You might want to change you room color scheme. You don't want random Johns knocking on your door.
I agree with Cheapskate, the back plate is awesome IMO, but with or without it, your build is fantastic, may be my favourite of all your mods...
Cheers pcc ty mate Cheers Cheaps ty mate That card is massive! but the cpu heat sink is massiver! Then there's the case! the biggest ive fab'd yet. I'm infatuated with the shape... i'm really thinking about doing it again! for a mini itx build..... Deja Vu The back will make it way on again still gotta get my head around the side panels.... ive started 3 different ones now and not really happy with any of them. Got my eye on this little beauty sits a lot higher and a tad longer ! the design should fit in nice. Cheers kim tyvm mate my fav too !
Today was a journey! A journey of trial different shapes and piles of plex. I finally decided on the shape for the side panels... These things are massive and 2-3mm plex wasn't going to cut it. 4.5+ was the way. This would give a chunky solid looking beveled edge. This is the way. The design has to work with the rear panel on and off. I peeled maybe 8 of these today...weirdly very satisfying tho TA DA.... A window! I have to admit with the side panel on i'm really liking the back panel again.. Cheers for the sound advise guys The hope is with the internal RGB is that the sexy big beveled edges will catch some of that colour and light up. But that looooooong line was too much.... So another panel was marked and cut. I thought perhaps following the lower line of the top section would work... But the top line was the most dominant line and this would be more so with the final tinted panel versions. So another panel was cut.... and this is the way ... i have spoken! ..... To much Madalorian All that's left to do is transfer this shape onto the final tinted panels. Each one makes a set . So far 4 different side window styles with one more still to come.
Ah, I used to have someone that dumped huge amounts of plastic in my garage too. -Seriously, though- You go through that stuff like it's toilet paper. It looks SWEEEEET, but you forgot to hit the bevel with a buffer. (Although that'll ruin the edge-effect lighting.)
greater and greater with the window and the back panel....this is a case I would love to own, what an agressive and awesome design
