just wondered if anyone owns this TFT?

I've only managed to find 1 review for it (tomshardware) and it doesn't give much info on the game/movie performance (unlike the latest LCD roundup...much more info!)

UT is my main game, how does the LCD perform...much blurring?

any mini-review or info would be really great...I don't want to spend £350 and be dissapointed

    thanks guys/gals

thanks for the reply, but, I'm only interested in how the Q17 performs ATM...

firstly, I'm not sure that the LCD you mentioned is widely available in the uk (I'll be ordering the LCD with a few other bits, and want to stick to online stores I'm familiar with and/or have used before)
and secondly, I've never heard of Planar before (probably because I've never seen them advertised in the uk)

anyone...please...if you own a Q17 I'd really like to hear from you...like I said in my first post, LCD's are expensive, and I don't wanna be disappointed

    cheers

well, sod it...I'm gonna go for the Q17 - I've re-read the Toms hardware review and even though they didn't go into much detail regarding games and dvd performance, they did say this:

"In both games and videos, the excellence of the display can be seen in its superb true colors and the near perfection of shade graduations. The smoothness of video sequences (DVD) and movements is as good as on a CRT. And unless you put it under the microscope, there is no afterglow.

There is the matter of dead pixels though. Hyundai has recently started guaranteeing its monitors for less than three dead pixels. Hats off - this is much more than most of its rivals can say. Given its price, this is the monitor we recommend. It has the best quality/ price ratio around and is one of the best 17-inch monitors out there."

that does it for me (unless anyone here owns a Q17 and can advise me not to buy one!)
