I have been trying to find this artical or work log where this guy sleeves and modulates his PSU. He uses these round connectors that I want to use. I dont know that name of the connectors. I dont know if it was a log specific for the modding of this PSU or if it was part of a worklog. It could of been an artical written by one of these modding sites too. I dont know. If you have seen it or if you could keep yours eyes open for it. Thanks. If you think you found it or something that could be it can you post it so I can see? Thanks.
I rember the mod you were talking about, and im pritty certain i saw it on here and not on a differnt site. the connectors looked like the large style audio connectors (cant rember what there called - XMS??) but im not sure weather they were them for certain. ill hav a look round my history and see what i can dig up.
Did they look like this.Hmmmmm maybe I think i remember the log you are thinking about but for the life of me i cant remember it. But i think the jacks were XLR professional audio jacks and plugs. He used the 3 pin version with 1 black 1 red and 1 yellow pin.
if you mean connectors like on the Hiper Type-R Modular power supply http://www.bit-tech.net/news/2005/05/01/hiper_pcworld_psu/ they are called microphone plugs/sockets, and are available with 2 to 8 pins.
If that's the case(pun intended), then this is probably the thread: ZapWizard's LAN custom PC Can't find the exact post though.
We use this all the time in work for powering cameras n links etc. Never thought about using them for my psu... Time to get the toolkit out n do a bit of shopping in work tomorrow...
