I only use butter. I don't know what flora is but if it's anywhere near margarine, that disgusts me. that stuff isn't far off from plastic.
its nothing like margerine, margerine is fat, for a start, used for making pastry and such... flora is made from pure sunflower oil...
i use nothing - gave up butter when i got fat from it and never used a substitute...i don't eat stuff that needs butter.
I can't believe y'all haven't mentioned the king of spreads-CLOVER (i'm not sure if it's butter or not) Although it's been banned in my house as it's full of 'bad stuff that gives you cancer' (my mum's words) So we have to use the really hard butter that comes in a stick and you have to melt before you can spread it.
WooT! I'm the first here to use "Canola Harvest," their lactose free margarine tastes identical to butter. When I actually use it, it's only on either toast or for cooking. I can't stand butter/margarine on a normal sandwich, just doesn't taste right...
"I Can't believe it's not butter - Light". Ex-GF made me start using it instead of the pure fat stuff and when she moved out I never switched back. Old habits and all..... It's not too bad surprisingliy. I agree with penski. Dry bread sandwhiches just don't cut it, especially when they're made on hausbrot (a dense German style rye bread).
100% butter and not that spray on stuff the real deal,Betty Crocker butter. Ok so I use fat free or whatever it is called, its still butter right?
"Bertoillie" or anything else that the other flat mates have hanging about in the fridge realy. Although i only use better/marg with my fried egg and onion sandwich so not realy fussed about how healthy it is
I was going to reply but erm didnt... When I saw the thread Anyway, didnt know it was gonna get so many replies, I use anything that comes in our house, sometimes butter sometimes not.
Sainsbury's take on Utterley Butterly for me and the missus. Can't for the life of me remember what it's proper name is though
sunflower spread on toast, sometimes on sarnies... but most of my sammitches are held together with mayo (or hp brown occassionally)
butter here. you guys do know that margarine is damn near close to plastic and all the crap they put in it(which is worse for your health than fat) allows it to be left in the shed for years and it will never go moldy
butter on sandwiches? wtf? me, miracle whip on one side, spicy mustard on the other side of a ham & cheese sandwich.... real land o lakes salted butter on toast/muffins etc.... roast beef sandwich gets horseradish on it, and turkey gets just mayo
