    we oughta start a club.

    'cept my friends are usually high and drunk when they unload on me... and they drutter a lot (the drutters = drunk stutters, where they repeat themselves constantly, where they repeat themselves constantly)

    i noticed that there are different IS7's, i mostly use my computer for internet and "backing up" CD's i don't own, but i do game sometimes. what board should i get. my very technical selection process involves choosing the coolest box.

    either the IS7 straight or IS7-G. the straight isnt supposed to have gigabit ethernet, but load the gigabit driver, bob's your uncle and you've doen it. the IS7-E isnt really worth it, and the E2? please dont torture yourself like that.

    As to me friends being high and drunk, they do that when they dont talk to me, then talk about how horrible they feel for doing it after...

    g for gigabit?

    IS7 = $90

    IS7-G = $95 (but it's a refurb)

    if i can D/L the Gigabit Driver off the net free I think I'll go with the IS7

    thanks Tulatin and firehed for steering me towards the IS7, and thank you to everyone else for a laugh and other recc's. :thumb:

    the -g also comes with a SIL-3112 controller on board driving another 2 SATA ports. and welcome. If only i can make my 2.6C live again, with this new D-500, we'll see how far she can fly.

    i don't need SATA, i'm an IDE man. I'll have a HDD (WD800), CD-RW (TDK 48x), and a DVD-RW (Pioneer AO7). all IDE.

    <~~~ :D

    and i actually do like vanilla ice cream :p (with that chocolate sauce that hardens when i t gets cold)

    although, if i do get the vanilla board I'll probably win a contest for free SATA hardware for the rest of my life... :duh:

    I don't really trust anywhere else, on this forum I've both heard of neweggs uber 1337ness and other places lack of 1337ness.
