I know I've always wanted to attend something like that, having read a great deal about them. However, it's still a case of over here - people who attend these events are "weird". Any type of RPG is still seen (by most people) as something either only teenagers do, or those who are mentally unstable. Cuz, you know, it's dangerous and all Meanwhile, my Wednesday night group is all late twenties to late thirties - that shoots the age bracket out the window, and most of us are fairly normal and mentally stable that shoots the rest of it. Ah well, one day I shall attend a live-action RPG event - one day
i know some friends who do war reenactments i've gone to a couple basically a weekend of chainmail suits, buxom wenches, big swords and home made beer *n
Here they call us "satanists" How funny eh? Or they say: Is it Carnival?? here we have a big event of 300 players growing year by year... /me hopes to play in january... penski whats wrong with chainmail? At least it's a form of training....but no real swords here, we use latex swords (u know the armour milla yovovich wears in that movie about Jan d'arc? they look like that) More, its a week without cellphones, traffic and stupid "real life"
