ok, instead of starting a new thread, i'll just restart a new one, thats what i've heard is the thing to do. i just got hired at the safeway near my house, i had to go pee in a cup today (drug tests), there was this guy in the waiting room who looked severely stressed ( ). i start probably sometime next week, starting pay is $7.50/hr, but after 140 hrs it goes to $8 something. sweet. i bag up groceries, help little old ladies to their cars, and retreive carts from the parking lots (which probably means kickboxing the homeless people trying to steal the carts too). this is sweet because i live literally 4 blocks from the store. PS, a friend of mine has been applying every 4 months for two years, and he has never gotten called, i applied once and am now hired. oh yeah, you bet i rubbed his nose in it

Damn those are AWESOME perks...good pay for that job and the perks just make it even better, too bad HK cinema's aint liek that, at least I don't think it is. Anyone know what AMC is like ?? OT: Btw I'm wondering what is the average pay per hour for like working in a club or bar in the US like as a bartender or waiter... the wages here for that in Hong Kong seem really really good...

Ack...Safeway - they gave me my first legit job. Only good thing about working there was that I could do all the hours I wanted...If I felt the ability to do so, I could (and would) work well in excess of 100 hours a week. *n
i got "let go" (meaning i was fired for not doing anything wrong) from the theater on labor day weekend, i've been unemployed ever since. [kinda personal] do you know how much it sucks when i finally got a job because my savings has been dwindling down to zero because i spend so much on my GF, i finally got a job and she dumped me today. senior ball is thei weekend too! she couldn't even wait until after the frickin dance that i spend well over $300 bucks on, to tell me she wants to break up and the she thinks we shouldn't go together to the ball! if shes mean to me and doesn't apologize for doing this, i'll find the hottest girl in my league and dance with her right next to my XGF

the only thing you can do is go out and apply, you aren't given a job. i applied to all the places i'd work at, and one called back
Nice, I wish I had a job like that, to bad you got laid off. I am going to apply for a job sat. or sun. I am 14, but scince its my friends mom I should get in. It would be something like 5 dollars an hour for 4 hours for 4 days a week watering,picking,ect fruits and vegies and if I am good hopefully I should keep it all the way through summer. Now whats that equal...$240! Now I add 40 for allowence...$280! New PSP here I come.
Hopefully i can help out my neighbor again this summer. He is a contractor and pays me about $100 per day. Usually its 8:00am - 3:00pm. He buys lunch, and with me he can cut the time to complete a job in about half. I usually do a lot of work if his son isn't there. He lets me order wood along with him to get the contractor discount. Ive saved a lot of money because of that.
