I only have the picture of the after treatment. The cut was deep enough to see white tissue on each side of the cut, but not deep enough to damage veins or tendons (thank God). My vein to feel my pulse with slid by with about a centimeter or two to spare. Now I can hardly do anything with my left hand until some time passes. It did not hurt but was a little scary seeing blood come out from a deep wound with white tissues surrounding it. Picture of stitches... I wonder how long before I can go back to playing the piano with both hands.
It was a little cheap, as in money being paid, but it is a good quality case. It is a Cooler Master Centurion 5 The edges were rolled in to prevent sharp edges but unlike most people who might slide against the case, my laceration was caused by those 5.25" metal plates, the ones that need to be removed when installing new drives. The case actually is pretty safe; I was just being too careless. There was no skin left over or blood since the laceration was fast and clean enough to simulate a quick scalple-like cut. My skin split wide open and only started bleeding when I stopped from running to the sink - about 45 feet away.
Wow a CoolerMaster! Now you explained it was a 5.25" plate thingy, it could have happened on a £300 Lian Li I suppose. Right I'll be extra careful next time! The cases I've had have had relatively thick plate things so I was never too cautious
well if you have to get sliced, that's the best way. not just because it's a cool story, but because the really clean cuts heal better than ones with a dull knife, for example.
You're really trying to get the cyber-vultures in. ROFL I've hade my fare share of cuts, mainly from my knives (I used to collect pen knives & Swiss Army knives)! But none that bad
Lol, I may be. Though my stiches pale in comparison to what happened to a friend of mine on the same day. He was installing a light fixture for the auditorium when his wrench slipped and his forearm went through an old bolt. He had to get 14 stiches, both inner and outer stichings to eliminate deadspace.
