Well, this got out of hand quickly.

Get the biggest one you can accommodate. Rats need a lot of space, and shops always underestimate it by a factor of three. Get one that is rated to keep six rats. Rats do not like to be exposed. A cage should have a small covered/enclosed space (like a cardboard box) that they can crawl into to sleep. Change it every few weeks because they will urinate in it to scent mark it.

They will also need stuff to chew on and mess around with.

In the wild, a rat will forage for about four miles in a single night. Needless to say you'll need to let them out of the cage daily and run around the room for at least an hour or so (leave the cage door open; when they've had enough they return by themselves). Make sure that there are no electrical wires they can get at, because they will chew them, and no small holes they can get into, because they will abscond and turn feral at the drop of a hat. They will like to chill under furniture and hide food in those favourite spots.

Finally, rats are not a pet for the lazy. They are social animals and need a lot of attention --as much as dogs do.

Lots of naughty words aren't caught by the filter- that has nothing to do with a naughty word being a user name though; iwankTV- sounds like a porn channel that specializes in masturbation, does it not?

I may play the fool sometimes, but even I don't stoop so low and then cry when I'm called out for being childish.
