say, hypothetically, that someone was removing a Broadcom BCM94318MPG Rev. 4 WiFi card, and they accidentally though the antenna connectors were spades, and he accidentally tugged on the wire, and accidentally pulled it out of the connector.

the board is marked "Main" and "Aux" by the connectors, does the laptop really neeed both?

if they are both required, how would one go about reattaching one? (hypothetically)

I'm assuming this is a laptop wireless card, in which case you've probably pulled the cable out of a U.FL plug connector. If so, they're a pita to reconnect. The cable is tiny and goes something like:
Plastic outer, metal sheath, plastic inner, metal core.

You may find that one line is routed to the aerial in the lid and the other through the main body of the laptop, (at least, that's the way the broken Dell on my lap's routed.) Try it with on connector plugged into the main socket and see how it goes.

Else, see if you can find a replacement part on ebay. Or, if the cable is U.FL to U.FL, then somewhere like this?

I'm chiming in a bit late, but you really only need one connector. Hook it to main. You won't have the antenna diversity function, but that's okay. The cables are ungodly tiny coax cables, trying to fix it without special hardware it pretty much impossible.

hey, forgot to tell you guys a funny story. when i removed that hypothetical wireless cards cover (the one on the case) i found a screw just sitting on the card. i still haven't found where it goes, i think the laptop was made by Ikea lol
