    Seconded

*insert smiley of head exploding in a fit of rage here*

Aww does that mean I have to leave? :(

I'm currently doing my usual restart the game every other day because my character isn't at maximum awesomeness in DX and Fallout.

I might give up trying to be nice and be a cold hearted killer, and bring gifts of ohrange.

I think I need to get this game since people seem to think it's amazing.

    Ditto.

'Tis on Steam now, so no need to even wait for it to be delivered. Although I'm going on my summery holiday soon so I'll hold off until I get back.

YOU'VE never played it either? :sigh:

I can lend you my GOTY copy, just look past the old graphics to find the classic!

Actually it's only recently the game runs as smoothly as it should, the save game files IIRC were MASSIVE, like tens of megabytes. Meant quicksaving and loading was one tedious task! At least it encouraged you not to quick save all the time. lol.

I never had a problem with loading, only took a few seconds or so - then again, my PC always has been better than yours :p

But yeah, the save files were oddly large. I suppose the problem is that there is a lot of redundant data to record about all the paths the player didn't take. Is why Warren Spector says he may never make another game like it - it can take years to put in loads of stuff in that most gamers will never see. I remember that it was only like the 80th time I played the game that I found the conversation in the French embassy where the A.I. rings you and says it's hunting you - foreshadows the whole latter half of the game.

Let alone all the stuff you can do in Morgan Everetts house! There were like five whole rooms and extra bits which I didn't find until I played it for the tenth time.

I'll confess I'm another of these heathens who has never played it. You can get it for like £3 now so maybe worth a go. If CardJoe recommends, must be good!

:eyebrow::eeek: I do hope you are exaggerating. If you meant that literally, we would have to come up with some other term cos we would be well beyond hardcore :geek: .:D

Ok, maybe not 80 times exactly, but I know I have finished the game completely at least twelve times - which isn't bad for a game which is like forty hours long. I've played it much more than that, but because of the length I ussually just get to Paris before I find a new game to play or I switch to Planescape: Torment.

And yes, Mclean007, CardJoe recommends Deus Ex 1!

Never tried Deus Ex but I mainly just play on CS fun maps or on DM mode.

Mainly into playing games on my Pocket PC at the moment - Warfare Incorporated rocks :D

Are we going to see that on the box now?

Deus Ex, as recommended by CardJoe.

Sadly I agree with you. All the elements are there for me to absolutely love it, but its just never managed to get me interested, or keep me interested. I drudged my way through 3 hours of 1, and I completed 2 because I had no other games with me at the time (Family holiday, brought the PS2 and only a couple games).

Both games thoroughly bored the crap out of me...

    ooops :p

I was actually joking.. but the white text doesn't show up that well to prove it... Still it may be true, I can't pass judgement until I have played it.

Why would you ever play 2, it was terrible.

    I suppose you liked FF10?

DX2 wasn't terrible, it wasn't as awesome as DX1, but it is by no means a terrible game.

    And what's wrong with FF10?
