    Work based anecdote/rant

I have nothing against Cockney's, or people of Indo/Asian origin, but combine the two together and oh my god... A boy I used to work with, originally from good ol' Camden Town, came to Wales to Uni. Our company employed him cause he gave a good interview, etc. But he was the most vacous ratbag on the planet - he was a shame to londoners! And I have a good few friends from London! But everything he said had to have an innit after it, and he had to get a bit of rhyming slang into every sentence. He then went and accused the floor manager of being a racist - despite the fact that she was the one that hired him - if you were a racist, would YOU hire an Indian? Funnily enough he quit soon after that revelation. But on one night out with work he said "Right boys, who needs a Joe Baxi" - and I never knew what he was on about til I read this thread.

Tommo - I totally agree - its especially ludicrous to hear white people talk like "propa gansta bruv" and all the other silly phrases attached. On a different note - another guy I work with used to wear all the "gangsta" style clothes. Recently he stopped after everyone started calling him a teabag. Again, I didn't understand until one of my mates explained the concept to me.

I'll shut up now and let this thread get back OT

    Joe
