Ok, I got a new desk and put my computer on my new desk. When I was all done I started plugging everything back in. Man theres alot of wires  When I plugged the adapter in to my sound blaster extigy a horrible sound came from my speakers and then quit. I looked back and realized that I plugged a 30volt printer adapter into it instead of the 12 volt one. They all look the same!
