    Excellent work there.
It felt a little more like an ambient track with vocals put on top of it to me rather than synthpop, but still sounded good.

Not sure if it's just my headphones having too much bass, but the drums were a little overpowering in parts. I'll have to have a re-listen when my speakers arrive.

    ^All of this.

Also the drums seemed a little overpowering in places to me too.

I like it. It's a good effort for some work from home. I would send that to a few of the smaller companies in the business and see what they think mate. Oh, and DEFINITELY make sure your sister goes with you :) She's is gorgeous :)

Agree with the drums comments, but other than that pretty awesome. Has quite a Shiny Toy Guns feel to it.

Great tune and excellent vocals. I liked it. As a drummer I can't agree with the above comments :p
There was a hint of something at 1:28 that reminds me of another track, hmm dam my old wizened memory.

Edit. LOL P1X it was Ellie Golding that did the EJ song. :p

Good work. I'm with others here, vocals remind me of someone but I can't figure out who.

It's not something I'd normally listen to but I must say it's very well made and put together :thumb:

Out of interest what microphone did you use for the vocals?

I'm also very interested in what mic you used for the vocals. This is a great track! Very nicely performed and mastered. Both you and your sister are extremely talented! +rep

Please also pass on our comments to your sister, she has a wonderful voice :)

Your other track "Around you" is also excellent by the way. I am putting it in my CSS;DM Playlist (Counter Strike Source: Deathmatch) because it's exactly the tempo of music that I usually listen to when I'm playing deathmatch.

    [edit]

For all those people wondering who the vocals on this sound like, I think it's got a very "Mirros Edge" feel to it. The singer it's reminding you of might be Lisa Miskovsky who sang "Still Alive", the title track to Mirrors Edge.

Very impressive - a little too much bass with the drums on a set of bassy speakers, on my bookshelf set it sounds just lovely! Gorgeous voice.

I absolutely love it! Just the kind of track I could quite happily work to. I've only listened on laptop speakers so far but I imagine I'll enjoy the drums when I get back to my proper setup, afaic drums should be felt as much as heard :thumb:

Vocals (which are awesome) remind me of this:

    Edit:
The choral bit from 1:24 gives me a definite hint of Halo 3 :worried:

This is roughly 1000 times better than almost all music made by amateur artists, repped.

Ooh, I thought no one would reply or like the song!

Thanks a lot for every listen and comment! She is 17 years old and this is the first song we did together. It's also pretty much the first time I used vocals in a song, mixing them was hard for a noob.

Recording of the vocals were done in my sisters neighbours basement since I don't own any microphone. I'm not sure about the mic used but I think it was one of the cheaper Shures. Anyway I excited the high end range of the vocals and removed some middle bass from around 300hz in the mixing. I guess it's a common procedure to make them shiny.

    Again, thanks for listening!
