    Hello,

I have a hub "and dont got bla bla hubs r crap get a swich/router i cant afford one i dont want 1" soo..

I have a server in the garage hosting bb and then I have my pc in my room with a netgear hub in the middel, I have no firewire on the connection or any program that has a firewire but for some strange reason I can send files on msn...Why not??

firstly, I'm presuming you mean firewall, and although switches are better, for two pcs you will not see any difference at all. What os are you using on your server, for instance, xp turns on its built in firewall by default sometimes! also check that you have all the ports available on the share (if you are in windows!) I don't know anything about unix os' so If you are running something like that I don't have a clue!

Try forwarding the ports that are used by msn or just forward the whole range 1-6000 or so.... Then there's no flapping about later on.

In other words if you don't want to mess around set yourself as the DMZ host. ( DMZ = De-militarized Zone ).

Yes... But I didn't think there was that function with a windows router...

Just forward every port to your computer. ::Sc0rian::.

    Feel the colons...:/
