Other I need a small favour

long story short I'm doing a recruitment drive and I've a small PDF explaining the project in depth. The thing is I need somewhere to host it for a few weeks or however long interest lasts and I don't want to faf about registering domains/servers for years for a such a simple thing.

gdocs and dropbox will only share links via email addresses so that's no good.

suggestions?

I share stuff with people on skydrive all the time and get a http link to it.

Do you just need it hosted for download? I can do that if you just want somewhere people can download it from, but it would have my domain attached to it I don't know if that would be a problem for you or not.

Though that is something I just shared from dropbox so that might work for you? Just right clicked on the file in my dropbox folder in explorer and chose "Share dropbox link" and it copied the above link into my clipboard, and I just pasted it there.

 

You can add a weblink to a file on dropbox

 

Why not set up a blog using blogspot/tumblr/wordpress

I think it should work.

Put it in your public folder. You can then generate a public link to share. Easy.

 

I can weblink anything in my dropbox, regardless of which folder it's in within my dropbox structure. You can't hotlink images from dropbox as far as I know.

You can actually do it with stuff that's not in the public folder too if you copy the direct download link on the share dropbox link page.
I'm not sure you should though...

I used to hotlink loads of images from dropbox, and then it all stopped working one day and I could no longer do it, maybe I was being a stupid head.
