    Just buy a D2A (digital to analog) converter and use it with a variable voltage regulator for high loads. Most (if not all) digital pots can sink only a few microamps, it's a waste to try to put a load on them. They are only good for reference voltages.

    can you tell me wich D2A I should use?
    I know a few things in electronics, but absolutely nothing about digital and com port communication
