Ouch, the DFI was the wrong choice of mobo for your level of experience. But read the link Kameleon posted, and follow Highland3rs suggestions. You say you cant get into the BIOS, try shutting down the system , unplug it, box it up and send back to the shop, followed by visiting the Dell website. Seriouisly, shut down the system, unplug, leave it for a minute, reconnect the power cord and press the power button whilst holding down the [Insert] key, when the POST screen appears press the [Delete] key.
Honestly, these things never work properly. You're gonna end up either RMAing it until you get a good one (I'd say about 1 in 10 will work without a hitch) or swapping for a more userfriendly board. NF7-S, anyone?
They can work well once there up and going, i have two with out cold boot problems. One died on me but it was not it's fault more mine.
since you have these mobo does urs do the same as mine the screen stay black and the light go from green to orange on ur monitor?
Mine does yea... Theres no signal to the monitor so they sleep to save power... Unlikely tbh... (the powerstrip question)
well since i can't fix it ill return it and get something else thx for help or ill just leave it on black screen for 5 hours and see what happens lol
Much as I hate quoting myself, it seems necessary...this is what people mean by a "power problem", nothing to do with your PSU's connection to the wall.
