Start making 2d models out of cardboard and thumbtacks until you get something that works. Remember making stuff like that in elementary school? It works for this stuff too.

Just copy how Acer do it, or any contraption with a similar motion.

heres a quick idea how to do it:

i stole it from off a bus, where they put cases and stuff under it.

the top mount has a bend in it so it doesnt hit the top frame.

I got a bit carried away here...

I'm not going to explain it unless you're really really intrested since it's a bit complicated and not really practical for what you wanted and it doesn't really work

I tried something similar when I got my Raidmax visor to open like an Asus Vento 3600. All you need are two strong arms to hold the visor on, and a good bit of trial and error :p

Try the cardboard thing - it sounds like a good idea :thumb:

mine was nicked off a tourbus:)

basically it clamps down on the case , and it has 2 holes in each side of the front panel, where it latches on

on a tourbus it's supported at the back by a large piece of metal, so you might have to thicken the front panel for my idea to work:p
