Ok id like to know how much heat my computer will put out per hour.. and how much that will warm up. Lets say 50 gallons of coolant. And then how much will 4 computers heat up 50 gallons of coolant per hour? This is to figure out how much I need to cool the coolant. The coolant will start off being 10c thanks guys.
oh will be cooling the CPU the chipset and GPU of all 4.. and maybe cooling the HD's and PSU and ram might come l8r
i'm a n00b to watercooling, but i would imagine that this is QUITE hard to calculate. You would need to know the following: Flowrate, thermal conductivity of all the blocks you're using, watts your cpu, gpu, chipset, and ram are spitting out. The easiest way is to just set everything up, and then measure the temps once every 10 minutes or so. Graph, and interpolate. Adjust parts as necessary. Just a thought.
beaverpants M8, why are you thinking of cooling the RAM ( I presume system RAM) ? I've read a number of reviews and articles about Actively cooling RAM , plus my own experience of fans pointed at heatspreaders . As a little suggestion, don't bother w/cing your system RAM - you'll just add more places to leak from, increase flow resistance/pressure and (unless your machining the blocks yourself) waste lots of money! Back to the thread, anyway ... (I do ramble a bit!) IMO if you just make sure you have enough cooling power to cope with more than the rig can put out then you'll be O.k. Remember that the output will vary greatly if you add TECs in the future or if you start (continue?) using power-station overloading voltages whilst overclocking. If I were you I'd use mr.phantastic's method of actually measuring system temps at the moment. If you're a w/cing noob I'd strongly recommend setting up a test system to learn the basics before you start playing with a complex setup. You could also use this rig to measure water temps and experiment a little. Then you could use these results to work out the temps of your 4 computer setup! You could also iron out any problems with your system config like order of blocks on the loops/no. of loops etc. Remember if you get one lot of kit (blocks etc.) you can just extend the system as and when you like! .....just a few suggestions... soz if anythings too patronising! good luck:dude:
use the search button....theres a site that will calculate if for u.....i know i posted it somewhere in here i just dont remeber the site of the top of my head....ill post it when i get home.....
