Today I actually got up off my arse (perhaps someone missed me while I was gone?) and did some work on my jeep! I: got battery recharged (props to Autozone ) got a new air pump (damn EGR system, oh well, cheaper than power steering pump, which is what I thought it was originally) adjusted power steering pump (belt was a bit loose previously) topped off power steering pump fluid(was WAY low) then came inside and fixed the in-sink errator and I feel GOOOOOOOOD! I think I'll be messing w/ the carburator tomorrow to see if I can't fix the problem of the jeep running way too rich. BTW, I have an '82 wagoneer w/ a 360 v8
Nice to see you out there and doing stuff , Master Ubermich and Lag Messiah , ur car looks like a cow ... but , nice cow though how old are u guys anyway ? I still ride my freaking bike
Lovah, I'm 16. As a matter of fact, I plan to be beating a few speedholes in. The only problem is finding a cheap pickaxe in the city. Lag, what's up w/ the cowness? And the newness? sheesh. And now, I'm off to deal with my carburator! Get that biatch runnin the way she SHOULD! (she's way too rich currently)
bah, I'm 16 and I wish I had a car to tinker with in my spare time Nearest thing to a car to fiddle with is my dad's bike
hehehe I just liked those seat covers...plus they were a gift from someone very special to me. It's not really that new...it's only a '97
Wangular? Wrangler? NO! WAGONEER! say it with me WAG GONE NEER (the edge of that cliff) Lag, hmm 5 year old... 20 years old... 5 years old... 20 years old... edit: almost forgot why I was posting. I got my carb all fixed up. The choke was stuck about 95% open so she was rather rich... But no more!
bah, I'm 18 and don't even have my liscense:cries: I have my permit, just can't afford the insurece for the car so I cant take the test:cries:
wow that really sucks. I turn 16th this August 18th! WOOT WOOT!!! I'm gonna take the road test this 13th...i hope i do good and pass... Black-Ice
our driving tests here are so easy! They care more about the money than the idiots on the road. After all, if you don't pass the test, you don't give the state their $30 for your permit/license ($30 for each ) Getting my jeep to pass inspection will be harder than getting my license and tomorrow I'm off to clean my garage so I can do the engine flush
it's only $10 each here in NC, but you have to be on the insurence for whatever car you take the test with.
cars are fun, my father actually convinced me to spend $500 CAD on a new paint job for my car, bye-bye greeny blue with peely primer paint roof and trunk, hello nice dark blue metalflake clearcoat... Well he didnt have to twist my arm or anything.
and today I flushed the engine so she doesn't do the 'ol clickity clack anymore! I think the tranny fluid needs to be changed though I drove it around a bit (don't tell ) and she has a few little problems tranny-related. Looks like I may finally need to get some ramps (advantage to having a jeep. Jacks are about meaningless ) Here we have to have insurance for whatever car we drive normally (we don't have a driving test appearently). paying for a paint job? why???
