From CNN: Two deputies shot to death serving warrant MILLERTON, Pennsylvania (AP) -- Authorities continued searching early Thursday for a man accused of fatally shooting two sheriff's deputies who were serving a warrant for a minor offense at a junkyard in rural Pennsylvania. Authorities were hunting for the suspect who got away, identified on wanted posters as Dustin F. Briggs, 27. The shootings happened at Briggs' junkyard in Wells Township, a rural farming community about 10 miles southwest of Elmira, New York, said Walt Beach, the police chief in neighboring Lawrenceville. Police described Briggs as armed and dangerous. They set up roadblocks in the area, stopping every car that passed. Schools were locked down. Briggs had been wanted on a warrant for failing to appear in court and was previously convicted of criminal possession of a weapon, a felony. Full story here... See where they mention Elmira, NY? They say that he took one of the Deputy's hand gun and shotgun The sad thing about this whole ordeal is that he was only being served with a minor offense - rumor has it that he was being served for not appearing in court for a traffic ticket or something simple like that.
That's sad, how he'd go to such extremes for simple things like minor offences, he's either going to be caught or wind up dead, two things he's currently trying to avoid, but he can't run form an entire country. Just like those RealTV thigns and such, where people run form the cops for traffic tickets and wind up causing huge amounts of damage and get in even more trouble.
It is easy to run from the US, make it into another country. Like Mexico, or something. If he could get into Cuba, that'd be even better. Canada won't export either.
