Windows I think windows killed my MBR...

    Okay, so I formatted, it coppied the windows files... Then it goes to reboot and I get "No operating system found, insert system disk and press enter" (or something similar)... I'm in knoppix right now, and I looked up and see that I can see the hard drive. I can see the partitions and the system files that were coppied onto them... But I can't boot via the hard drive...

    Think the MBR got wasted? If so, how do I fix it?

    boot using XP CD. go to recovery console and log on. type "FIXMBR"

    fdisk /mbr works as well iirc :thumb: .
