I decided to do a little modding on my Shuttle, its been a while since I've done any computer modding. Buying a house and renovating it can take its time. I wanted to cut a nice shape on the one side of the case lid, something a little different than a square hole, so I decided to do the Shuttle XPC logo. I got the logo from the Shuttle website, manipulated it to give me an outline and then printed it out. I then cut out the inside of the printed logo, masked off on the case and then transfered the design over with a pen. After a few hours of dremeling, filing, filing some more and more filing I ended up with something not looking too bad. The space will be filled with mesh instead of perspex. The middle part of the 'P' will be added once I cut another hole and I have some mesh behind it. Heres a little piccy, I had to put some paper behind the cut so it becomes visible on the picture. Let me know what you think.
That's pretty sweet, looks like you really took your time with it Looking forward to seeing it finished
Looking good Can I ask what visual style that is? I had it, lost it, forgot what it was called and couldn't find it again I think it had a 4 in it
WOW, as a shuttle owner for years now all I can say is, dang fine work there Hippo, cant wait to see this finished up nice with some mesh and backlit Very nice dremel work.
I doubt s/he will. Cause they're not missing. They're just backed by something black on the LCD Nice work
Great cuts bro, nice job on that. I know what you went through I did a simple window the same way.... cut, file, file and filing some more.
