    Hi,

I've got a i5 2500k and I think the temperatures are a little high. They are normally around 50-60c sometimes a little higher when just browsing the Internet and doing generally tasks.

The CPU is water cooled with a Thermaltake Big Water 760IS. I've got a Gigabyte GA-z68X-UD5B3 if that helps as well.

Can anyone tell me if these temperatures are normal or a bit high?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    John

Its a gadget I've got installed but I've also checked in the Bios and the readings are the same.

Those temps are way too high for casual use. Mine go that high when I stress test, and I'm air cooling. What thermal paste did you use?

Just in case your gadget is borked, download CPUID's Hardware Monitor and double check what that reports as that is one of the more reliable tools.

Will give it a go. Cant remember the paste, but it wasnt cheap anyway.

What should the temps be with water cooling?

Low 20's really at idle and around 40 at load with proper watercooling.

Your talking best part of £150 for a good watercooling setup too.
