    Hello,

I’m new to building computers however I’m looking at building an i7 computer. Can you please make suggestions if the following components are ok and if I can make any improvements?

Also is it ok to install windows xp and once the computer is stable and working ok to then install (buy) window vista? Would I still be able to play games when running windows xp?

    Antce Three Hundred Case
    Corsair tx650w
    Intel Core i7 920 2.66Ghz
    Gigabyte EX58-UD4P Intel X58
    G.Skill NQ 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Triple Channel Kit
Powercolor ATI Radeon HD 4870 OC 1024MB
    Western Digital Caviar SE16 750Gb
Akasa AK-967 Nero Direct Contact Heatpipe CPU Cooler

    Thanks

    Gart

It looks pretty good for a low cost i7 build. The motherboard is perfect, good low cost RAM, great PSU and good GPU (as long as your getting a good deal on it). What is your budget?
