Displays IBM T221

    Anyone seen one of these before? they look damn awesome!

    Haven't seen one, but I do remember when they came out. Unfortunately, at the time, they were so out-of-this-world expensive that nobody could really afford them. Beyond that, no desktop card could really drive a monitor at that resolution except for maybe a few Matrox models at the time.

    The input lag must've been terrible. As was the refresh rate.

    Still an epic screen and quite ahead of its time.

    Actually the refresh rate was 52 hertz at 4K and apparently easily overclockable to 60hz, with an adapter you can actually get it at 4K on only 2 dual-link DVI outputs.

    Still I would never want to overclock that glorious screen. I still wonder about the input lag on those though. If I ever do run into one at a HAM Radio swap meet, I'll definitively buy it.

    Once saw a Model F there. Missing keys though. :(

    No I agree, I'd be scared to take one apart! I'm also curious about the input lag, probably not so bad, yes it is IPS but it's segregated into 4 panels I believe :)

    Shame about the Model F, I really want to try one at some point too :)
