Windows ICS on Win98

    Ok, just installed 98 on my other machine and need to get ICS working I now I could do it with 98SE but I didnt have that CD to hand so I grabbed my Upgrade version, anyone now if it is avaible in (* Upgrade or will I have to get my other CD? or is there something I can download from Microsoft to enable it.

    You have to be using Windows 98SE, it doesn't exist in the first edition.

    Ah thought as much you know if I can get an update ot get taht in the frist edition?

    AFAIK, you can't. You have to use SE, 2000 or above.

    I'm assuming the posters are referring to Internet Connection Sharing.

    Shove Xp on. You cant go wrong then. If not just overwrite 98 with 98se. You 'shouldnt' loose any files doing this. But im not saying you wont because im not fully sure on this one. But its simple once you have got 98se on. 5Mins of a job.

    Well I had XP on it for a while and I decided that it wasn't the best for the job as I needed some sort of Proxy program for the sharing of AOL (i know but please dont comment on it). I remember useing 98se's ICS for AOL on an old computer off mine which I later upgraded to XP.

    Also XP pushes it a little as this is the spec:
    P225 MXX
    128MB of EDO RAM
    1.2GB HDD
