Okay - I'm looking for an ide card reader to put on the slave of a secondary IDE channel connected to a computer through an ide-usb bridge. Anyone seen an ide card reader?

Its going to be pulled apart so all I need is the card - no chassis.

    Thanks!

Try Addonics. Great company, I've met the CEO (nice guy, btw), and these work flawlessly.

Personally though, I like their internal USB one. You can plug it into the internal port on a usb pci card, OR it comes with the cable to plug in directly into a mobo header. :thumb:

I do not like the usb ones as in my experience they tend to not work, be flaky... and I hate 6 drives setup in my computer for them...

That is a drawback to the USB ones. The IDE one shows up as a single drive though...

Then you can't copy files between cards without using the hard drive as a temporary storage place. Of course having the drives never bothered me. Lessee.... I have 5 partitions on my main drives, single partition on my hopswap, two opticals, 6-in-1 which gives 4 drives (up to twelve so far) and a few networked drives. C: - N: and W:- Z:, and I could easily take up the remaining few with more networked drives. I just like getting as much out of stuff as I can :thumb:
