IDE Drive question

    How do i install more then four ide devices without resorting to raid? i want 2 cd drives and a zip, but i dont know how. can i run two drives on a raid card withjout them being treated as an array? can i run drives utilizing removable media on a raid card?

    All you need to do is add a controller card. Simply put, it's a PCI device w/ its own IDE controller that adds IDE channels. Nothing fancy, nothing special, just more IDE ports. You can probably pick one up fairly cheap now that RAID cards are starting to take over (just like those damn commies :p).
