Okay, firstly, how are your drives set up? what device on which port, in which position. Next, you should open the properties for those two devices and see what the error is (why you've got a little exclamation mark beside them). It may just be that you need to reinstall your controller drivers, or similar.

    Cheers and good luck. :thumb:

when i go into properties for the devices and ask it to update the driver it says the best driver is already installed for that piece of hardware and the dialogue box says that "the device is either not present, not working properly or does not have all the drivers installed" and to try upgrading the device drivers, which is precisely what i did and it made em b0rk up in the first place, i cant install the original drivers for them because they r on cd and you can't download em

edit/ oh yeh and i tried reinstalling the drivers that came with the downloaded update and it didnt work, same error
edit2/ another thing, formatting aint an option cuz my m8 broke my winME cd and i dont have another copy

Are you sure you got the correwct drivers for your OS and board/other hardware.

If you've got hybrid components, make sure you get allt eh appropriate drivers.

its definitly the correct drivers, i've checked and double checked, they match exactly.
i dont know wot else to try, cuz if i delete the drivers then i'll have none and that wont help any
